The Ancient Theater of Taormina

The Ancient Theater of Taormina is one of the archaeological gems of Sicily. The theater has Greek origin but is Roman in its present form.

The top view of the theater is breathtaking. The view stretches from the Ionian Sea to the Mount Etna volcano.

Today the ancient theater is back to what it was built for. During the summer, concerts, shows and theatrical performances are held on its stage.

Great shots. I’ve been there myself, it’s a fantastic place with amazing views of Etna in one direction and the coast in the other. I’d love to see a show there!
